It's On!

Ann has her yarn and is 7 rows in. I've been craving mindless stockinette, so on Saturday I cast on a ChicKami in twine...urm, I mean cotton. But now I've got to get back on the Spearfish boat so that I don't go down without a fight. I'm also really wanting to finish these socks so that I can wear them at least once before the summer really descends on Georgia.

And, yes, Ann, I would be a horrible overlord. I just don't have the evil in me! But now, oh, yes, now, we are locked in knitting combat.

Even the kitties (long absent from the blog) are in it to win it:

Ok, maybe Merc is just thinking about the socks. And how yummy they might be....mmmm, spearfish! How could they not be tasty!

Ahh...here it is...the fighting face!

Knit on!

Ack! Scary kitty! :) Now we know you're serious!

Hi.

This may seem strange and out of left field, but I am looking at possibly
working for the Institute for Reading Development this summer and I have
been checking around on the interent to try and learn more about them. I was
linked to your blog, in which you talk about working there. This job in a way seems almost too good to be true, so I was hoping you might be able to tell me about your experience? As I had never heard of the program before, I would just like to make sure they are legit. Was the pay what they advertised? Did you have
trouble getting the amount of classes you needed? Were they assigned to you or did you have to find them yourself? Did you enjoy the job? Also, I noticed that you seemed to have to travel a lot for it?

I appreciate any feedback you could give me. This seems like a great job, so
I just want to make sure that it will be a good experience for me.

Thanks so much.

Melissa Brady

does it matter if these socks fit or not? does that in anyway change our bet? I am looking at my work, it seems kind of big but I measured my tree trunk/ankle and large is the size for me...... no, I did not check my gauge.
