I Am Stuck on Band-Aid
I wasn't going to share this picture. I've been entirely too honest on this blog about my physical misfortunes in the past. Events of the day, however, prompted me to share.
So, first, last week's boo-boo:
I was just trying to fix the LCD projector in my classroom ceiling. I jammed my leg into a desk (ouch!) and knew I'd have a nasty little bruise. This is it 5 days out. Joy.
Who knew it was just a warmup?
I fell down a hill today. Fell. Down. A. Hill. No Jack to break my fall. I was walking down from Park Hall to the Tate Center (UGA folks know what I'm saying), talking to my mom on the phone. Wham--I'm on the ground ROLLING down the sidewalk. Aside from the hurt to my pride (there's was nothing, not even a brazen squirrel, to cause my fall), I managed to scrape the hell out of my right knee, twist or sprain or something my left foot, and bruise my right hip, since my too-freakin'-huge ring of keys was in my right pocket. The phone, however, was unscathed.
A couple of nice young ladies helped me up. I am getting old.*

Here's a cute sweater for you. I knitted it for my cousin's new daughter, Lilly. Sweet, eh?
*Sidenote: my legs look like hams. I need to take better photos.

Good lord, girl. You need to watch that walking and talking at the same time thing. ;)

Woman, be careful! Good lord. That hill is a killer. At least someone stopped to help...I fell down the stairs in Journalism Plaza once, landed on my butt at the bottom, and people LAUGHED. No one helped. Grr.
That baby sweater is tiny and adorable. And your legs are fabulous. I've seen 'em in person.

perhaps you should consider safety knitting needles? and maybe even a helmet to wear while you're stitching?

I am SO sorry I did not get to see you last night except a wave through the bead store window!! Bless your heart. Since the beloved Park Hall was my home from 1997-1998 I do know what hill you are talking about and I am SO sorry. At least 2 girls stopped to help you. I saw this guy go head over handlebars on his bike once at Conner Hall and about 50 people howled and me and 2 other people went over to check on him. Feel better and take it easy. See ya soon.

ouch! I'm so sorry you've hurt yourself. Hope the twinge-y bits heal up quickly.
I feel down in the mall once. I was carrying my lunch and my foot shot out infront of me and down I went - right on my rear. my lunch went flying - alon with my shoe (said shoe barely missed going down a stairwell I was about 4 feet away from). There were A LOT of people - including my lunch date. Someone was kind enough to bring my shoe to me though.
