I've been remiss in my ABC-Along-ing, so today's blog is sponsored by two letters: B & C.
From B we get baggage
which we used on our wearing month of travels in pursuit of the fruits of C--a Contract with a College for a new stage in my Career.
Of course, this will effect a C-change in life (I couldn't resist--apologies to Shakespeare). Perhaps I'll let 2 big C's (also known as Johnny and June) tell you about it.
Yes, I know the song is about a troubled relationship, and yes, it may be about Jackson, TN, but it's just such a catchy tune...
Steve and I will be moving to Jackson, MS this summer, where I'll be joining the faculty of Millsaps College. I can Barely Control my excitement about this Brilliant Career opportunity!
Someday soon (I hope) I'll have some news about my non-knitting life. The corner to be rounded approaches, and I'm closer and closer to knowing what I'll be doing next year and where I'll be doing it.
Pins and needles...
. . .but it feels good all the same!
I'm graduated, finished, complete in that whole school thang! Have a glass of something tasty wherever you are for me!
Back tomorrow with some knitting content!
I'm so freaking done. Drinks all around, eh?
In 24 hours, I will have defended my dissertation. I go in at 10 a.m. and, I hope, I will emerge at noon finished. I'm prepping today, but thought I'd share a bit of diss-related humor.
150 Things (Not) to Say at Your Thesis Defense
See you tomorrow!
Not of the knitting variety.
I just submitted my draft for format check by the Grad School and will be handing it over to my director tomorrow. Now the fun really begins...
